A Continuation

Last time I posted, it was about pictures.  I’ve completed quite a few scrapbooks since then, and have started others, mostly yearbooks and European trips.  I’m really enjoying doing it, especially while bingewatching ridiculous things on Netflix.

I also started working on a couple sewing projects.  One of the friends that I made the Riviera Bag for a few years ago asked me to fix it – the fabric where the zipper is attached started to fray!  I took it from her last year, sometime around Christmas, and I still haven’t done anything about it.

Unfortunately, because of the way that bag is assembled, I’m not going to be able to just repair it.  Instead, I have to recreate it.  Luckily, back at the beginning of the year I’d gone out to get replacement fabric, and after looking into my supplies last weekend, I have everything I need to put it together.

In addition, since I have a new niece, that means a new stuffed animal!  I know exactly what I’m going to make, and I’ve gathered all the fabric I need for that project as well.

So, yesterday, I started cutting things out.  I’ve got the fabric pieces and the internal structure cut out for the bag, and the fabric for the toy has all been washed.  I anticipate next weekend to be spent mostly in the craft room.  It’ll be fantastic if I can get all of these things done in September!

It’s a short one this weekend, guys.  Sorry for that.  I’ve been busy!
