Made a shirt!

I sewed myself a shirt last weekend.  I’m not putting a page together on it, mainly because I didn’t take pictures of the process, but also because I remembered how frustrating it is to make clothes.  At least for me.

That being said, here’s the end result:

It’s not easy to tell the color in the picture… and really it’s not that easy to tell in person.  The fabric bolt said that it was navy, and sometimes it does look like the pattern is in navy.  Other times, it looks like a really dark purple.

That being said, I got it done in a day, and with a lot of frustration, like I mentioned.  I don’t know if it’s only because clothes have to fit a body, or if the combination of the fabric with my machine was troublesome, or if I just need to get used to the stitch suggested by my machine for stretchy fabrics.

This maybe the last thing I make between now and our trip to Paris, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to be taking this with me on the trip!
