Handbag Repeat

MM and I are starting to prepare for our upcoming trip to Italy, and with that comes the inevitable anxiety that I start getting, making sure that I have everything that I need, including clothing and shoes that really, I shouldn’t need.  I mean, I have clothes in my closet.  Why does a trip to Italy mean I need to have new clothes.

Well duh.  New clothes, and of course, wanting to make as much of an effort to not stand out as a tourist.

Which, let’s be honest, is going to happen with anything I wear.

But beyond that, I was asked to make Riviera Handbags for three foreign coworkers.  And they have to be done before MM and I go to Italy.

We’ve purchased all the materials, and so I got started on it yesterday, with cutting all the pieces (all the same fabric, just mixed up in different ways).  Tonight will be cutting the interfacing and fleece, and hopefully getting started with putting it together.

I’m also hoping to go one step further and make little stuffed animals (pattern courtesy of Funky Friends Factory) for the coworkers’ kids.

We’ll see if I can get it all done in time – after all, I’ve had something going on the past two weekends, and have things going on this weekend and next, and we leave that Thursday.

Someone I know needs to be disciplined with her time…

Also, if you have any suggestions when it comes to clothing, feel free to comment!

More later.
