D1 and J welcomed their second child earlier this month!  MM and I just missed being there for his birth, as he was 9 days early, and we were there the day before to celebrate B’s birthday.  B and his new brother, S, share a birthday, and are super cute together!

It’s been a packed week since S’s birth, at work and in the evenings, so I haven’t gotten too far in a couple of my projects.  I did work on the Funky Friends Factory dragon that I really wanted to try out, but I don’t know that I’ll be giving him away.  He was a little difficult, and I need to work on how I do it for the future.

In addition to that dragon, I put together another elephant for a friend of MM and I, though.  He and his wife are expecting a little girl later this month, and they loved the toy!

And after finding out about S, I started gift for him, to be given this Christmas.  It’s not the same thing that I did for B, though.  Can’t have them fighting over it!  🙂

But, it’s not done, and unfortunately, I failed in taking pictures of the process, so I’ll have to do it with the intent of posting information about it later.  Stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, the next week at work is going to be incredibly busy again, and it’s followed by a cousin’s birthday in a different state.  You probably won’t hear from me much for a couple weeks, so I apologize for that.  Just know that I have to finish S’s gift, and I’ve been asked to make another Riviera bag for G for Christmas.  This one will need to be more for the winter, though.

Once things settle down, I’ll be able to hit up the fabric stores, and I’ll be able to get into my craft room a bit.  I’d love to come up with good ideas for Christmas that I can get started on in October, though.  Wish me luck there!
