Been a while, hasn’t it? The last time I posted was around Thanksgiving, and if I look back on that, wow – all about the gratitude, right? Maybe a little too touchy-feely, in fact. 🙂
Don’t care. Meant it then, mean it now!
In any case, with a new year, I start thinking about the goals I set up for last year, and how much I have (or have not) accomplished. Last year, I set a goal for myself to try a bunch more new recipes, and somewhere around 20 was my target. I nailed that, with at least 21 recipes that I can remember! I didn’t necessarily log all of those here, either because I wanted to work on them (make them better, or more to my taste), didn’t like them right out, or just, well, didn’t.
I also set a few sewing goals, including fixing a friend’s bag, creating a new bag for myself, and a new table runner meant for the top of my piano. Didn’t, however, finish one of the things in my “need to finish this” bin.
MM and I also set a goal of one new movie a year… and spectacularly failed. I think we may have made it just past the halfway mark, and we didn’t even write reviews for all those. I’d think it’s safe to say that we didn’t exactly follow through. 🙂
Oh well – not going to lie, I had doubts that we’d make the aggressive number of 52, given our jobs, work travel, and our vacations!
All in all, it was a pretty busy year. I’m surprised at how fast it passed, and I’m looking forward to 2020. I’m working on challenges for myself for this year, and while MM and I haven’t talked about a new joint goal, I’m sure we’ll come up with something.
How was your 2019?

My main goal in 2019 was to pay off my college loan, AND I DID IT. ..not until December 24, but still did it. It turned out to be my Christmas present to myself.
You two have had a very busy year. Perhaps 2020 will slow down a bit.
Congratulations on paying off your loan!! What a great present for yourself!
