Happy New Year!
I’ve been preparing for the new year over the past week or so, trying to get myself organized, and using the activity to let my brain simmer on a variety of resolutions or goals that I’d like to strive for in 2023.

Out of the hobby resolutions I made for 2022, I think I absolutely nailed one of them – reading 50 books. To be fair, I slammed the last 5 in the final two weeks of the year. Everything else that I had listed either wasn’t started, or wasn’t documented.
I’m not going to lie – it’s been a very busy year for us. Lots of changes and activity at work, including renewed travel, meant having to find new routines. But that’s okay! It’s been nice being able to see people that haven’t been seen in over two years!
But that means the routines that I’d gotten used to over 2 years of pandemic have had to shift. I finally feel like I’m getting back into the swing of things. Thank goodness!

So, I started out by prepping my bullet journal pages, gathering my thoughts for how I want to approach this blog, what hobbies I want to concentrate on for the next year, and how I want to improve myself.
Reading is still on the menu (I’ve re-upped my Goodreads Reading Challenge – 50 is my goal again!), and as is posting content here. But beyond that, I need to keep contemplating.

What about you? What are your goals for this odd numbered year?

How on earth did you read 50 books? I read 29 this year, and I thought I was doing good. I’m a slow reader…but with lots of time; and you work FT in, I’m sure, a stressful position. Good for you. I hope 2023 is all you want it to be.
