May we get the heck out of Dodge?

There are times when you just have to leave the comfort of your own home for a break. Whether a long month of ups and downs, or just the desire to be in a different environment, getting out of your comfort zone can give you a fresh perspective.

And that’s just what MM and I did! It helped that it was also MM’s birthday weekend, so double benefits!

As a result, I didn’t do the normal weekend before a new month ritual of building my bullet journal pages, nor did I do some of the projects that I had on my list of things to do. However, I did get some pictures that you can enjoy!

That’s one heck of a Shedd… 🙂
This charming fish actually sang Happy Birthday to MM!

This little guy powered through a downpour, and only looks mildly irritated at the world.
Trust me – the colors were more amazing in person than in the picture!

Don’t worry – I’ll get back to posting about the things I’m up to soon. I know I still have two recipes from High-ish Tea to share with you, and I’ve finished a couple books that might be of interest to you as well. And at some point, I’ll share my bullet journal pages with you for this month.

In the meantime, I have to perform a very precise procedure on a very special stuffed monkey for my eldest nephew so that they can be reunited once more. Perhaps Mr. Monkey could also do with a spa day before he goes traveling?

With that, I leave you all to have the best May you possibly can!
