If you think about it, December is a month of contradictions – Looking back at the year that has almost passed; Looking forward to the year that’s just around the corner. And over all of that, the festive feeling of a holiday coming our way.

I look forward to Christmas! I love to decorate the main rooms of my house, I enjoy lighting the candles that make my house smell like the holiday, and I love the way my tree twinkles in my picture window.

I have so many things to accomplish in the next couple of weeks – tying up the loose ends for the year, making sure 2024 starts out on the right foot, getting all the lovely gifts for parents, siblings, all the niblings (a lovely word I picked up somewhere along the way for nieces and nephews), and friends, not to mention MM, and thinking about how I want to approach my goals for 2024.

What do I want to accomplish when it comes to self-care?
What do I want to set as my reading goal for 2024?
How am I going to motivate myself to move more in 2024?
What career goals should I target for the year?

There are many other topics that come to mind when I think about goals for 2024. Luckily, I can put those in the back of my mind to ruminate while I’m focused on the tangible things I need to do, like shopping and baking!

How will you approach this last month of the year?
