I know that I have waxed poetic about how much I love Jennifer Crusie. Seriously, I think I own almost all of her books. Even the early ones. Most of them are physical books, and I’ve backed hose up with electronic version so that I can take them anywhere.
Her collaborations are also spot on (one of my favorites is Dogs and Goddesses – writing that down just makes me want to read it again), especially the ones with Bob Mayer – Don’t Look Down, Agnes and the Hitman, and Wild Ride, all wonderful.
Which brings me to this new series – Liz Danger. And holy cow did I LOVE this book. Immediately fell in love with it. It’s another book that takes place in a little over a week, so you have to suspend a little bit of reality, but outside of that, these two writers remain absolutely awesome! Vince has gone through quite a bit in his past – I ended up tearing up on a plane ride home, which was a little out of the ordinary. Liz is a classic Crusie character, flawed, direct, and misunderstood.
This is going to have to be one of my favorite books of the year. And yes, I know I’ve rated a bunch of books at 5/5 stars, but I don’t care. There will have to be a better ranking system for Crusie books moving forward!
Also, I’ve started the second book in the series. I did so less than an hour after finishing this one.
Yes, I’m obsessed. And I don’t care who knows it!
