MM and I will be leaving in a few days for our last big vacation of the year (not counting the time around the holidays)! We’re going to Paris for nine days, three of which will be spent in the Normandy region at a B&B. The B&B will be used as a home base while we visit Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery, and Mont Sant-Michel.
We’ve been to Paris before, twice together. Once at the tail end of my 6 month work rotation (I was in Brussels), and once as part of our belated honeymoon. Because I was in western Europe for 6 months, I had many opportunities to visit the City of Lights, and did so as often as I could. It’s a beautiful city, and while I didn’t trust myself to be adventurous enough to venture beyond the known, tried and true sites, I enjoyed all my visits there.
I haven’t had a lot of time to get nervous about the trip, or what I’m going to pack due to being busy at work, so it took me until this weekend to even start packing. It went fairly well, too, since much of what I took with me to Italy can easily be used for this trip as well.
That being said, I just remembered that I need to go find the plug converter…
So, for those of you who might be looking to do some traveling, head over to my Travel section. I’ve created a couple pages there. One for new or infrequent fliers, covering things like when to arrive at the airport, what to expect with TSA, etc. The second is geared more toward Western European travel.
Enjoy them!
Back soon.
