KitchenAid mixer done

And not a lot to say about it.  Okay, a few things.

It was a fairly easy project, even with the modifications I made to keep the pattern the right direction on both sides.

That being said, I suggest not using a linear pattern if you care at all about things being straight.

I also added a set of pockets on one side.  They’re large enough for the main flat attachment to fit in one of them, and I think I’ll put the power cord in the other one.

I’m happy with the colors I chose, and if the slight crookedness of the strips bothers me enough, I’m happy with the lining I chose for the inside of it, so turning it inside out won’t be a problem.

I’m not making a page for this one.  I’m sorry, but I didn’t take enough pictures to warrant it, nor did I make enough modifications to make it difficult to figure out what I did.  As I mentioned in the previous post, I used a tutorial to get the dimensions and the side pattern piece, and that was about it.

How about this – if I get asked to make a second one, I’ll take pictures of that process and put together a little page for it?  🙂

I looked at my project list in my craft room last weekend when I finished the cover, and none of them are really inspiring me for the time being.  I might instead shift direction to a couple recipes that I’ve come across in my Italian cookbook – I just made a Bolognese sauce for the second time, and there are a couple other recipes I’d like to try my hand at.

For example, I’m thinking either Roast Chicken with Lemons  or Pot Roast of Beef Braised in Red Wine.

Which would you vote for?

  1. Crooked stripes…that’s a tough one. It would make me crazy, but I’m trying to let stuff like that go. As for the chicken or pot roast, yum for both.
