Birthdays mean treats!
Treats could be heading to a favorite nearby city to go out to dinner with my special someone a couple of times, and spending some time with family. It could also be having fun with nephews, and watching a comedy show with that same special someone and a couple of rowdy brothers. Then again, treats could be making a new cookie recipe and sharing it with coworkers.
For this birthday, I did all that!
MM got us on a train to our favorite city, and took me out to dinner at a tasty Italian restaurant.

I got to go to lunch with my parents, brothers, and two nephews (after they had all worn themselves out at a nearby aquarium), hit up a fun shop on the way back to the hotel, and relaxed for a bit. MM then walked me out to a fancy-schmancy (technical term) new restaurant, with fantastic food!
After that, we met my brothers for a comedy show and laughed for a solid 90 minutes.
A fun breakfast with the parents the next day, and then it was time to head back to reality. But I jazzed up reality a bit by trying another BraveTart recipe! Chocolate Chunk Cookies, made just slightly too crunchy, but still delicious. I made sure to keep just under a third at home for my enjoyment, but took the rest into the office to share with my teammates and coworkers.

All in all, a great birthday weekend spent with loved ones!
