to report.  I haven’t made any progress with any crafts yet, though I need to, and I haven’t tried any new recipes, so nothing there.  House projects got done, and essentials were shopped for, but nothing notable to post on that front.

T, my mom, came over to my house yesterday so that she and I could go to one of those painting bars.  The name of the painting was Through the Woods, and the original is super pretty.  I can’t say the same for the end result of my particular effort, but it wasn’t horrible.  I like the original much better!  We had a great time, though!

Tonight is steak and potatoes night.  The baked potatoes are in the oven as we speak, and I’ll be pulling the steaks out of the fridge at the half hour mark so that they can get close to room temp, and then I’ll be cooking them skillet style with a whole bunch of butter.  I’m excited, because it’s really, really simple, and yet the result is so tasty, it feels like we’re being decadent.

I really, really need to get started on the Riviera handbag, so I think I’m going to have to bite the bullet and work on it after work this week.  🙂
